There were more than 70 artists displaying their wares, each artist set up on a different patch of grass in the park. The sun shone brightly, even though autumn is here now, and it was actually almost too hot!
Sitting under my gazebo, I looked around the park at the colourful paintings and the colourful trees with their autumn leaves - how wonderful to live in South Africa on a day like this!
The park was full of friendly people enjoying the day, and enjoying the paintings. Towards the end of the day, a tourist couple bought my "Shaggy old lion" painting to take home in their luggage. Wow, I was glad that I had some paintings that were suitcase size!
I came home exhausted and sticky from sitting out in the hot sun all day, but very satisfied.
